Australian Theatre for Young People is located at Sydney's most prestigious arts precinct, The Wharf, Pier 4/5 Hickson Rd Walsh Bay on Sydney Harbour. Nestled amongst the Sydney Theatre Company, Bangarra Dance Theatre and Sydney Dance Company, overlooking the bustling Sydney Harbour, atyp has two venues available that can place your event in the heart of this arts centre.

Studio 1

Studio 1 is a heritage-listed site with its original features dating back to the early 1800's, showcasing both the solid workmanship and the architectural style of that era.

Located at the heart of atyp’s prestigious premises it is a multi functional space with easy loading access, 3 phase power and a fixed grid. It is utilised by the company as its main performance space and is perfect for film, commercials, weddings, dinners, product displays, or theme presentations.

Studio 1 boasts retractable tiered seating for 90 and the option to boost capacity with alternate floor seating or standing room events. Technical equipment (lights, sound, AV) dressing rooms, laundry, bathroom, and shower facilities are also available.          

Studio 2

Studio 2 is located on the foreshore between Piers 4/5 and 2/3 with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour, Luna Park and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Primarily utilised as a rehearsal space Studio 2 is perfect for workshops, auditions, team building events and corporate planning days. Presentation equipment, furnishings and catering can all be arranged upon request.
