The atyp team is made up of dedicated arts-workers and artists who believe that the arts make a difference. We work with passion and drive to ensure that our stakeholders get the best atyp experience they can.

Fraser is atyp’s Artistic Director. Over the past fifteen years he has worked as a director, actor, writer, workshop facilitator and artistic director. From 2005 to 2009 he was the Artistic Director of Queensland’s leading youth theatre company, Backbone Youth Arts in Brisbane .
From July 1997 to December 2000 Fraser was the Artistic Associate of La Boite Theatre where he was responsible for coordinating development initiatives operating alongside the main house season. From 2001 to 2003 he was Artistic Director of Riverland Youth Theatre in South Australia, and in 2004 was appointed Regional Touring Officer for the Arts Regional Touring Service with the Queensland Arts Council.
In 2007 Fraser was one of seven Australian artists selected for the Next Generation International Symposium meeting in Adelaide in 2008, and Linz, Austria in 2009. He has served on the boards of Young People in the Arts, Australia (2007-09), Metro Arts (Qld, 2005-08) and the Theatre Arts Network of Queensland (2006-07). Fraser has been a Company Associate of Queensland Theatre Company (2006-08), Chair of the selection panel for the Youth Arts Mentoring Program (2006-08) and is a member of the selection panel for Queensland's theatre industry awards, The Matildas.
CONTACT FRASERWith over 20 years experience in theatre and events, Moira has worked with some of Australia’s leading arts organisations including Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland theatre companies, Company B, State Theatre Company of South Australia and Bell Shakespeare Company.
Moira has extensive national touring experience taking performances to almost every corer of Australia. International touring includes taking Shakespeare to the United Kingdom with Bell Shakespeare’s Production of Comedy of Errors and opened the Bogota Arts Festival in Columbia, with State Theatre Company of South Australia’s production of Verona.
As a graduate from the National Institute of dramatic Art, Moira returned as Head of Production and remains on the NIDA Board of studies. As Executive Producer for the 2008 and 2009 Sydney Festivals, Moira oversaw Festival First Night, a large scale public event welcoming over 200,000 people into Sydney CBD.
CONTACT MOIRADrew is the Administrator for atyp. Drew has been working in the arts industry in various roles for over 10 years, both performing and working behind the scenes on numerous productions involving stage management, sound, lighting and other technical aspects . After the completion of studies in Public Relations and a Diploma in Events Management, Drew started employment at atyp in Dec 2004. CONTACT DREW
Over the last ten years Claire has worked in various areas of the arts in marketing and communications, most recently as Membership Manager of Live Performance Australia. This involved working on the Helpmann Awards and launching Australia’s first Producer Development Program for emerging theatrical producers.
Claire graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Arts (Design for Theatre and TV) and has also completed an Advanced Diploma (Business and Public Relations) at Box Hill Institute of TAFE. She is currently studying a Masters in Arts and Entertainment Management through Deakin University.
Claire has worked with festivals, theatre companies, schools and arts organisations but has now returned to her first love, working with young people in theatre. Claire was thrilled to accept the position of Marketing Manager at atyp in March 2010.
CONTACT CLAIRELachlan Philpott is a theatre writer, director and teacher. He graduated from Sydney University [Dip Ed], UNSW [BA Hons Theatre and Film], The Victorian College of the Arts [Post-Grad Dip Directing Theatre] and NIDA Playwrights’ Studio. Lachlan was Artistic Director of Tantrum Theatre, Newcastle, 2003-2006, transforming the company from 2 til 5 Youth Theatre. He was co-Artistic Director of both wreckedall prods, Melbourne, and PUSSYCATOMOKO, Sydney. Lachlan was Writer-in-Residence at Red Stitch, Melbourne, 2006-7. His plays have been performed across Australia as well as Ireland, the UK and USA. Plays include Air Torture, Bustown, Bison, Catapult, Colder, Due Monday, Running Under the Sprinkler and silent disco.
An experienced teacher, Lachlan has taught drama and script writing to young writers across Australia at various youth arts organisations, institutions and as part of Youth Interplay 2006, World Interplay 2007 and 2009, Interplay Africa [Kenya] 2008 and Interplay Europe [The Netherlands] 2008. He has also taught writers in the Royal Court Young Writers’ Program. He currently directs Fresh Ink Young Writers’ Program at the Australian Theatre for Young People. CONTACT LACHLAN
Peter has been working in the performing arts industry for over 20 years. He graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and studied arts administration with the University of Westminster (London) post grad. He has extensive fundraising and marketing experience and has worked with many of Australia’s leading arts companies including Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, Opera Queensland, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and most recently with Australian Youth Orchestra. He is delighted to be back in the youth arts training arena with Australia’s flagship youth theatre company.
CONTACT PETERAnna trained at Bretton Hall, University of Leeds in the UK and gained a BA (Hons) in Theatre Acting in 2002. Following that she worked primarily as an actor with a variety of repertory theatre companies throughout the UK, eventually becoming a regular company member with Wigan Pier Theatre Company where she first began tutoring youth theatre, community theatre and directing special projects in conjunction with Wigan Council. Anna moved to Perth in June 2005 and commenced employment with Barking Gecko Theatre Company as a regular workshop tutor. In 2007 she became Barking Gecko's Participation Coordinator. Whilst with Barking Gecko Anna directed a number of devised and scripted performances with a variety of young people and represented Barking Gecko in April 2008 as part of the Rolling Spinifex Youth Arts Festival in Karratha. In July 2008 Anna moved to NSW and became Workshop Coordinator for Tantrum Theatre Company in Newcastle as well as regularly teaching for them. Anna took on the role of Workshop Coordinator with atyp in June 2009. CONTACT ANNA
Liam is a graduate from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts and the State Drama Company. He has acted on stage and television, and worked consistently behind the scenes in television, film and the performing arts for the last fifteen years. Major productions include Disney’s TheLion King , Mathew Bourne’s Swan Lake and the Paris National Ballet Company. As a Production Manager, Liam has co-ordinated national and international tours and contributed to the success of several festivals such as the Underbelly Arts Festival and the Sydney Children’s Festival.
CONTACT LIAMJudith Seeff is a qualified archivist, who worked in all sorts of organisations' archives until landing a wonderful part-time position establishing the archives at Sydney Theatre Company in 1996. Recruited to do the same at atyp in time for its 40th anniversary in 2003, Judith is in the enviable position of managing the only two dedicated performing arts' company archives in the country. Lena has been working in the arts for over eight years. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts (Curatorship and Modern Art) with merit. Lena has worked in numerous arts organisations in both Sydney and London, and attempts to immerse herself as much as possible within the visual and performing arts. After returning from life in London, Lena joined the atyp team in December 2009. CONTACT LENA
Adèle is atyp’s newly appointed Education and Outreach Manager. After graduating from UNSW with first class honours: B Arts /B Education, she spent nine years working in arts/education. Adèle is an experienced teacher having taught both Drama and Dance in Primary and Secondary schools. In 2008 Adèle spent time in the UK where she worked for Arts Council England and Creative Partnerships on a National Festival and a National Program for young people and the arts. Upon her return from the UK she taught at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney and was delighted to join the atyp team in January 2010.
