MARIKA AUBREY
Marika is a graduate of
Theatre Nepean (2002) and whilst there appeared as Prospero in Maeliosa Stafford’s
The Tempest, and as the Jewish Wife in Marion Pott’s
Fear and Misery of the Third Reich. In 2003 she received the Big Brother Drama Award to study in the UK. Theatre credits include
Othello – The Clown of Venice (Comediocre),
Notes from the Underworld (Theatre Dwa Konie),
James and the Giant Peach (New Theatre), and
Poster Girl at The Old Fitz. Screen credits include
All Saints and the feature film Feed. Marika appeared in 2008’s
Short, Sweet & Song for which she received a Best Actress nomination before embarking on a state wide tour with Kookaburra The National Musical Theatre Company performing the popular comedy -
I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, as well as
Songs for a New World and
The Emperor’s New Clothes for children. Cabaret credits include her one woman show
CAUTION: Aggressive Birds, directed by James Beach and musically directed by Geoffrey Castles. Marika has performed for The Sydney Theatre Company’s All Star Cabaret, at The Sydney Theatre Awards, Hats Off and most recently recorded a song on the latest Showqueen Sessions album.
