ROWAN MARCHINGO

Rowan's national and international professional experience includes performing, choreographing and directing productions that range from large scale aerial works on the sides of buildings to intimate works of theatre. Directorial credits include Bubble (Sydney Opera House Studio) for Legs on the Wall; Together (Bsharp, Downstairs Belvoir St Theatre); Telstra Next IP Launch (Jack Morton Worldwide); and an aerial performance for Rotary International Conference 2003 (George P Johnson).
Rowan was recently Assistant Director of Company B Belvoir's production, Baghdad Wedding. Movement direction credits include The Extinction Project (Brink Productions); international co-production Flying Blind (Australia/Canada Tour 2003); short films Together (winner: Certificate of Distinction 2004, American Dance Film Festival; Audience Award, Reeldance Dance On Screen Festival 2004) and Shadow Play (winner: Best Editing 2008 St Kilda Film Festival; Audience Award, Reeldance Dance On Screen Festival 2008); Post-Try Celebration (Toohey's New TVC); and One More Than One (Atypical Theatre Company).
As a performer Rowan has toured internationally with Legs On The Wall on numerous productions including On The Case (Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Cultural Festival and Dublin Theatre Festival), Eora Crossing (Sydney Festival 2004), Flying Blind (Canada/Australia international co-production 2003), Homeland (Sydney Olympic Arts Festival 2000 and Berlin 2003), Runner's Up, and Clearance. Rowan was also creative consultant to Legs on the Wall's recent aerial show for the VISA Hospitality Lounge at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Other performing credits include Settlement (2007) and NOMADS (2008) directed by Les Ballet C de la B co-founder Hans Van Den Broeck, Love Drunk (Phunktional Dance Theatre) and Back From Front (Dean Walsh).
