Rio Saki and Other Falling Debris by Shaun Charles
Are you afraid to die alone? I am. I am a single female looking for somebody to share the last moments on earth with. Somebody to talk to, laugh with, hold, and cry. I’m seeking a lover till the end. Will you be there with me? contact Hannie
This iconic Australian grunge play rips the lid off the lives of six young adults counting down to the end of the world. There is no mystery, there are no heroes, there is no escape, just a lump of rock the size of Greenland bearing a message as old as life. We’ve all gotta go sometime. Brutal, offensive, tender and uplifting, Rio Saki and Other Falling Debris explores love’s ability to generate meaning and comfort in a world where the mere beat of a human heart or the simple touch of flesh can seem a latter-day miracle.
This offering comes with a warning, the language and themes will offend. This one is for older audiences only. Recommended MA16+ - coarse language, drug references and adult themes
"ATYP has not disappointed with its latest production. With a strong foundation built through the writing and the direction, the actors are able to move about the stage with a freedom that is quite joyful to watch." Click here to read more from this Arts Hub review
