atyp's four week Acting for Camera Master class offers a real and accurate insight into the goings on of a television set. You will get the chance to learn specific camera techniques like hitting your mark and continuity. The course will also look at character and scene breakdowns of popular film and television scripts as well as learning lines in a short period of time. In addition to this the class will give you an insight into the audition process.
Each student will receive a dvd of their work at the end of the course.
Four weekly workshops on Thursday evenings between 6pm - 9pm, commences June 3rd
Celeste Barber has a wealth of experience on a television set, playing ambulance officer Bree Mathews on Channel Seven’s
All Saints between 2005 and 2009. She trained as a dancer for 15 years and graduated from
Theatre Nepean performance program in 2002. The following year she studied under Ross McGregor at the
AFTRS (Australian Film, Television and Radio school.) Theatre credits include:
Boyband season one and the return 06 season (Seymour Centre),
Ricochet R Rated (Big Laugh Comedy Festival),
The Pitch (Short and Sweet),
Rules of the Game and Ten Tits, Five Lips (ricochet/Darlinghurst Theatre). Film credits include:
Burke and Wills (Cake Productions), which screened at the Tribeca NY and Sydney film festivals,
Homecoming and
Rovers First Bath.
