There are two ways you can direct your support to atyp - through our private Giving Program In the Wings or through the atyp Foundation.
A donation to the In The Wings company campaign helps atyp to:
Keep workshop costs affordable. Our commitment to accessibility means we keep fees down and teaching quality high. Reasonable costs and scholarship programmes ensure that attending atyp is not out of any young person’s reach.
Reach out to young people Australia-wide. We initiate and run projects in remote and regional communities across Australia, bringing young people to regionalcentres to experience an atyp project and taking our expert tutors to tour and teach in remote communities.
Provide exceptional performance opportunities. Our production work focuses on creating unique performances that tell the stories of young Australians to a wide audience, regionally, nationally and internationally.

A Saints donation of $5,000 can significantly help atyp commission a leading playwright to create a new work specifically for young people to perform.
An Archangel's donation of $1,000 can send a tutor to a remote location in regional Australia to work with young people with limited access to creative experiences.
An Angel's donation of $500 can fund the development of an education kit for schools to accompany an atyp production.
A Cherubs donation of $100 can help purchase equipment, from CD players to juggling balls, for use in our workshop programs.

Without the security of a foundation, the company exists day to day, sometimes year to year with all the uncertainty and diversion of energy that brings. In 2003 the company established the atyp foundation with its vision to expand the company’s reach nationally, foster innovation and by so doing strengthen the core.
A gift to the atyp foundation will further strengthen the company in every way: the quality of productions, the development of the next generation of artists and the expansion of our educational and outreach programs around Australia. It allows for creating many opportunities for atyp to become a truly national company, in developing our resources and taking our expertise to youth groups and theatre companies around Australia.
Bequests are also placed within the Foundation to ensure that the Australian Theatre for Young People will be here for our children and our children’s children. The outcomes from the support we get from our donors are wonderful and we could not do it without them.
