Without the security of a foundation, the company exists day to day, sometimes year to year with all the uncertainty and diversion of energy that brings. So, in 2003 the company established the atyp foundation with it's vision  to expand the company's reach nationally, foster innovation and by so doing strengthen our core.

The foundation was invested with the proceeds of the Great Leap Forward Appeal launched by Nicole Kidman and those funds have now grown to$1.37 million. The interest from the foundation funds provides the company with $60,000 per annum.

A gift to the atyp foundation will strengthen the company in everyway: the quality of productions, the development of the next generation of artists and the expansion of our educational and outreach programs around Australia. It will allow for the opportunity for atyp to become a truly national company, developing our resources and taking our expertise to youth groups and theatre companies around Australia.
