Devise 1 – KICKING IT OFF

This workshop will look at dynamic practical activities to demystify devising and empower your students. atyp tutors will focus on giving your students clear ways to start devising, the steps required to generate and select material, tips for constructive team work and a reminder of how you use the elements of drama to devise like maniacs.

Devise 2- KILLING THE CLICHÉ

Following on from KICKING IT OFF, this workshop provides practical ways to stimulate original and complex narrative, develop structure, and enhance characterisation. The workshop gives participants tools to match style and content, enhance their awareness of how ensembles should effectively use physicality and address the element of the unexpected.

Devise 3 - GUTSY ‘N GROUNDED

Following on from KILLING THE CLICHÉ, this workshop emphasises the importance of considering the audience in devising. Focusing on the question “what do I want the audience to experience?”, GUTSY ‘N GROUNDED focuses on  giving students tools for polishing  work while ensuring that it reflects truth and integrity and communicates effectively with the targeted audience.
