WHAT IS A TABLEAU? A tableau is a still moment on stage where the actors are frozen and work together to present a stylised picture for the audience. When creating tableau you need to remeber to:

  • consider where the audience is
  • present to the audience
  • work together with your actors
  • use different levels
  • communicate character in a still pose
