What’s on April 2024

Hello all!

I’m Lillie the Digital Engagement Designer at ATYP and here to give you some news!

As this cold change sweeps over Sydney, things are only getting cooler at ATYP. Our Autumn Holidays are beginning next week in venues all across Sydney. We can’t wait to see what talented young people arrive at our doors.

With Term 1 of Weekly Classes wrapping up last week, now is your time to enrol for Term 2, head over here and enrol your child today!

Our Fresh Ink participants for 2024 have been confirmed with sessions in Brisbane, Hobart, Perth & Sydney. Our amazing mentors this year are; Lewis Treston (Brisbane), Belinda Bradley (Hobart), Chris Isaacs (Perth) and Jane Fitzgerald (Sydney).

The rehearsals for our Young Industry Studio production of Scab are off to an amazing start, this is going to be a phenomenal show for you all. Tickets are now on sale, get yours here!

Our wonderful National Studio program returns for its 13th season. If you know someone that would be interested in spending a week at the beautiful Bundanon, with a group of like-minded emerging playwrights, being mentored by industry professionals, send them our way! Applications close on the 29th of April 2024.

ATYP is international! Our Connect Up participants along with ATYP Artistic Director Fraser Corfield have touched down in Italy. For two weeks they’ll collaborate with 44 other young people from around the globe to devise a production, we can’t wait to see what they create.

Finally, we’d like to welcome the amazing Ryo Harada from Japan, who is our International Artist in Residence for the year. He brings with him a wealth of experience in creating theatre for young people, being the founder of the youth theatre company C.C.C. Theater based in Chigasaki, Japan.

We hope to see you in the Rebel Theatre soon!

Kindly,
Lillie
Digital Engagement Designer
