A free residency program for emerging artists (18–26)
Peer 2 Pier is ATYP’s free studio residency program for emerging artists aged 18–26. Based at our Pier 2/3 home in Walsh Bay, the program offers dedicated space, creative support and time to experiment, whether you’re developing a script, devising a new performance, collaborating on a project or working as part of a collective.
Across your residency, you’ll have access to workspace at ATYP and a 30-minute session with a member of our artistic team for creative guidance, dramaturgy, producing advice or industry questions – all at no cost.
How It Works
Apply online using our Peer 2 Pier form, telling us about you, your practice and what you’d like to work on.
We match your dates with available space at ATYP and confirm your residency.
You move in for your allocated days, using the space for writing, rehearsal, planning or creative development.
You meet with an artistic team member for a 30-minute session tailored to your needs — from pitching ideas to dramaturgy, directing support or producing advice.
Optional: share a brief, informal showing or conversation about your work-in-progress at the end of your residency.
